Scuttle/Windscreen panel:
The seams between the scuttle panel and the front wings always rusts on MGB's and mine is no exception. Someone has filled the rusty bits with resin to hide it, so I will have to make or buy repair sections for both sides.

I removed the rust with a flap disc, and then started cutting out the worst parts.

I managed to get hold of a new Scuttle Panel (or part of anyway), so proceeded to remove the spot welds to get the old scuttle panel off. The right hand side will have to be retained and repaired as this part was missing from the part panel I purchased.

Both 'A' pillars had to be repaired.
The drivers side was particularly bad, and I had to make up 3 separate complex shapes for the repair.

I plug welded the scuttle panel into place, leaving the central support brace in place to ensure the windscreen gaps are correct, this will be cut off once all the welds are done.

Home made long block sander, to get the panel nice and flat.

Front Wings:
Both front wings have rust, the drivers side looks repairable but the n/s is not, its too far gone.

I have managed to get a good second hand n/s/f wing.

It looks like the o/s wing has some rust behind the beading, so I removed to see how bad it was.

I ordered a new section of beading and a new lower 1/4 wing repair section, which I will weld into place.

This is the new beading, cut and shaped to fit the wing, and then welded into place, and painted with Bonda.

Here is the o/s/f wing lower section repair panel. I had to bend and panel beat it into shape and then cut it to the correct size before welding. In the end I went for a combination of a flange joint and also seam weld it.
